Apart from the songs I have taught myself for theatre and my singing, there is only one band that I listened enough to learn the song lyrics by heart.....and that would be Savage Garden. I know every song on thier two albums...and maybe some of Darren Hayes' solo music.

Darren hayes was my queen.

I went to an autopsy today.
The cadaver was an old man whose truck rolled back over him after he had fallen behind it. His spine was broken in two and he had bled into his chest.
I got to see what a human looks like inside. I was shown every organ, including vocal chords and brain. When sliced, the cerebrum looks like a tree. Brain tissue is a lot more squishy than one imagines. I know what gall stones look and feel like now (I was wearing gloves).
I got to sew his chest and scalp back up.

Blood is really pretty. Such a deep colour.

It was quite an experience. I found that I have a strong stomach. I don't think I want to do it again though.

Today I saw a person that walked like he was a marionette. I could almost see his strings.

Mugwort makes me really happy.

The cable for my camera, that I leave plugged into the computer, is missing.
There is a line burnt into the couch with a nice cigarette burn in the centre of it.

Frost was over last night.

I'm pissed.

I love greenhouse work so much. My first day was fantastic. Vinnie lives in the house where the greenhouses are so I got to spend time with him. There are only two greenhouses, so this job is a breeze compared to my old one and is a lot less stressful, but I still come home worn out, kissed by the sun and covered in dirt :) The place is way out in the country in a little redneck town, and usually this would bother me but the atmosphere there is so great that I enjoy it anyway. I work with a few dummies, but as long as they leave me to do my job I'll be ok.
There is something so meditative about keeping a greenhouse in order. I'm an organization freak anyway so the fact that I get to color coordinate the flowers and keep them tidy makes me uber happy. I still have lots to learn about the flowers themselves so I can help customers better, but that comes with time. After work I went to the stables with Wendy ( my step mum) and helped her feed. I got to drive the golf cart thing with bales on the back XD I nearly crashed it into a gate lol.
I also got to bring home a little kitten! Her name is Mugwort. She is 4 weeks old (too young) and has symmetrical black/dark grey and white markings with a black smudge on her nose that totally throws all the symmetry off. She was at risk of being eaten by dogs at the farm, so I nabbed her. She is currently wrapped up in a towel, asleep on my lap. Jeremiah gave her some soft kitten food last night that her little stomach wasn't ready for so she has been sick. I gave her a bath...she is such a good little kitty.  
Yesterday was the fish fry. There were hundreds of people there! A third of the way through the day I had to go sit in the shade with a cup of water and just stare into space because I had talked too much and didn't have any energy left to give the customers ( I have issues) but after a little while I was recharged and ready to get back to work.
Later on in the day I got to go on a mule ride! The mules got tired going up this really long hill and started slipping, so we all had to get out and walk up the hill with them, I felt so bad, I stroked thier noses and told them I was sorry. The country is funny. On the ride we passed a toilet at the end of someones driveway with pansies planted in the bowl!!
I am sun burnt on my shoulders and back. Pain!

I'm feeling good right now. I get to work again tomorrow.

I have a blister on my thumb and a cut on my finger. It makes me happy. I love getting all dirty and beaten up when I am gardening. It makes me feel like I have really achieved something.
The lady next door came out while I was digging and said she was going to tell the woman across the parking lot to bring me some flowers to plant in my garden.

I got myself a weekend job for the next few weeks. I'm going to be helping out at the fish fry at the greenhouses in Palmyra this weekend and then after that I'm really not sure what I'll be doing. Yay for monies!!!! And yay for having something to do during the day.

We looked at an apartment this morning. I'm in love with how much natural light it has. I can see myself painting at my easel in the living room and having a little herb garden on the patio :) I hope we pass the credit check.

Money is soon to be a sore subject. The money that would be going toward my greencard will soon be going to Florida for child support.

I'm going to have to try my hardest to get a job that pays under the table so I can pay for it myself.

It's starting to look like college isn't going to be an option for me. I have to let myself believe that I will go some day because the reality of it not happening is really tough for me.

My days aren't so much days but eternal evenings.
Not the warm, magical evenings spent with like souls, but the dark, lonely kind with the company of a humming computer and infomercials.
I am not one that can thrive in such a lifestyle.

I am fraction of myself. A stationary whirlwind of magic and possibility. Those close to me get caught in the outer winds of my storm and are rained on by my emotions.
